The Suffering Servant: Love That Bleeds
A Portrait of Sacrifice
Long before Yeshua walked the earth, the prophet Isaiah gave us a hauntingly beautiful image of a man who would suffer –not for His own sins, but for ours:
“He was pierced for our transgressions
He was crushed for our iniquities;
The punishment that brought us peace was on Him,
And by His wounds we are healed.” – Isaiah 53:5
This isn’t poetic exaggeration. It was prophecy. And it was fulfilled in Yeshua, who bore our sins in His body on the cross:
“He himself bore our sins in his body on a tree,
So that we might die to sins and live for righteousness;
By his wounds you have been healed.” –1 Peter 2:24
Yeshua didn’t just suffer – He chose suffering. The Suffering Servant became the Savior King.
Why Did He Choose This Path?
Yeshua chose rejection, pain, and humiliation so that we could be restored. His wounds speak healing. His silence before accusers speak mercy. His death speaks life.
This is not weakness – it’s divine strength. The cross was not a detour in God’s plan. It was the plan.
Because love bleeds.
Spiritual Insight
Redemption is costly. Grace is free to us, but it cost Yeshua everything.
God’s love is not passive—it’s sacrificial. The cross is proof.
Healing flows from wounds. Yeshua transforms pain into peace.
