A New Kind of Life
If you are like me, you are one of the over 200 million people in the world who are watching The Chosen, and anxiously waiting for the next installment of the series to come out next year.
But as I take you on this journey through my blog posts, I am going to take you back to the beginning of the story, where Mary begins her journey, as a little girl afraid of the dark, her father there to comfort her. He tells her of Isaiah, and tells her of the new star that has shown up in the night sky.
Not much was said about that new star her father told her about, but, I think we all know what that new star in the night sky was, It was the sign of the King of Israel’s birth.
The next thing we see, is Mary being assaulted by one of the Roman guards and he’s running through a courtyard screaming that she has demons in her. Mary tries to use the one thing her father gave her to help her through difficult times, Isaiah’s scripture. “Fear not, I have redeemed you. I have called you by name. You are mine.”
Mary still tormented by demons goes to a local pub where she is confronted by Yeshua, who tells her that drink is not for her. To which she replies, “Leave me alone,” and leaves. He of course follow her, calling her out, calling her by name, healing her.

The transformative power of Yeshua’s grace teaches us that gratitude and faithfulness can lead to a complete transformation in a person’s life. This transformation can lead to a new identity and purpose, giving us new meaning for our lives, and something better to strive for.
We are not defined by our past mistakes or struggles, and they do not define our worth, or our ability to serve God. So no matter what has happened in your life, or what you have done, you can still come to Christ. You can be forgiven for anything you have done in your past (aside from blasphemy of the Holy Spirit), but you must come with a sincere heart.
If you are struggling with something in your life, or something from your past, that you feel you need forgiveness for, seek out a pastor, and ask for guidance. Ask them to pray with you about your situation. Some situations may seem difficult, but finding your way, can be one of the most difficult and greatest decisions you will ever make, but it will save your soul.
Peace be with youcom
